Made from Grey Welsh Slate and standing  80 cm (32”) tall, the top slate slab is either carved with a bowl or left flat for attachment of the brass sundial .

All the main surfaces are naturally riven or pillared except the bowl.

The top is located onto the column by a steel dowel and a steel pin joins the column to the base then enters the ground to maintain stability.

The whole is a very solid addition to the garden, too heavy to lift except by a weight lifter.
